Rosemary Help!

Hi all,

I have two rosemary plants in the ground, planted start of last autumn. They have been fine up until yesterday when I noticed some yellowing on the leaves. What could be wrong with them.

Thank you for your help!

Might it be too damp for them there? They are like lavender, prefer gritty well drained soil and all day sun of possible. Although I have seen that old leaves will eventually yellow and drop as the plant grows.

Even evergreens need to shed old leaves. I think it's just getting rid of old leaves to make way for new ones. Mine does that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Oh...I see. Thank you @Bijdezee and @Busy-Lizzie That's very comforting to know they are simply shedding old leaves.

That area gets full sun all day (it is south facing) and I have a hedge of lavender all around that area and they seem fine. I planted them as really small plants last autumn and they are putting on new growth so I am pleased.

Thank you so much once again!
