What kind of flowers are these?

hi everyone!

i joined this website to try and figure out what kind of flowers i have. i saved them from being thrown out at my mall after leaving work on saturday. i’m pretty clueless about different plants and i want to make sure i give them proper care.

They don't need much as house plants, just light and water and when the flowers fade, snip them off. Later in the year you can plant it in the garden if you have one, and it should last a few years, dying down in the winter.  It's an autumn flowering plant, yours will have been grown under artificial light and temperature to make it flower out of season.

It's the national flower of Japan.
