i have. Stella magnolia tree in a pot, this year it did not flower but it has produced leaves, it has been in the pot approx 4 years, anyone got any ideas?
Also so what is the feeding and watering regime and how recently has the tree been repotted? And was it given plenty of water during last year’s drought.
Whereabouts does the tree stand ... is it exposed or sheltered in any particular direction?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi, thanks for you answer/query, I think it may be because I did not water it regularly last year, it sits in a pot by the side of my greenhouse and had flowered until this year. I will make an extra effort to water and feed more this year.
I have one in a pot, it's leaves are out and the flowers have only just started to come out. Maybe yours is just late like mine. As Dovefromabove said feeding and watering last year will effected this years flower.
Hi, no I have not cut it back and it may well be potbound, I will check it out. Mine does flower before the leaves come out, I can’t see any buds on it, but yours does look good 8n the photo ,thanks for all your suggestions.
