Can you tell me what this plant is please - I thought it was corncockle, but doesn't fit the pictures I have found. Thanks.

They look like Cornflowers. Centaurea Cyanus ‘Black Ball’.

Thank you Busy & Borderline, the stems are tall, the leaves long and thin. I think I sowed them from seed, I had a wild flower seed mix with mostly native plant seeds in it. Are they native to the U.K.?
