Large Hardy fuchsia

Iris10Iris10 Posts: 1
The fuchsia in my garden, when in full bloom, covers the 6" length of the shed.  Last year, my first spring, I cut it back quite vigorously.  Sadly, it lost a section during a storm.  I'm now struggling to try to bring back some shape to the Bush.  Can anyone offer any advice, please?  The first leaves are just showing through and I'm looking forward to the flowering season but it does look untidy.

I wouldn't worry about it Iris10, once all the leaves are on and flowers in bloom, I daresay you won't notice it so much. If you really want to you could prune it down to match the misshapen side, fuchsias flower on new growth made in the current year. Like Lyn, I cut down my hardy 'Riccartonii' to about a couple of inches of the base.
