Fern or Grass

I have a bog garden which isn't as wet as I would like.  The bog garden gets full sun, faces south but is also exposed to east wind too.  I would like to plant an ever green fern or grass that would grow to approx 2 - 3 foot tall and is compact i.e. doesn't spread out of control.  What would you recommend I plant?

    How about Acorus gramineus?

Deschampsia caespitosa - grows wild in my garden in both boggy and dry parts and is a beautiful grass. It forms evergreen tussocks with clouds of airy flower spikes in summer.
  • I have googled both - and I think the Acorus gramineus is too low to be a feature plant but would be useful for filling some gaps I have.  Is the Deschampsia invasive? It does look lovely and could fit the gap nicely.
