Confires
Hello
we bought some confire trees in 2008 small ones to grow and they did and looked lovely, I then ended up disabled and my husband couldn’t look after the garden as well as been my full time carer he is 60 and not easy for him so he decided last year to cut the confires down, the hedge is not straight he nearly fell twice doing it and they are are six foot now as was 10 foot before and all brown and now they look like they have died and we are so upset, would anyone know if they have died as on some there is pink buds on but not all.
can send pics
thank you.

Edited to add l see you've posted a second photo on another thread, and l see what you mean. There are a few conifer experts on here who may be able to advise you far better than l can, l hope so.
Sorry for laughing ne59jr59.
I think there is enough there to sprout and cover the bare bits, just try to keep on top of the trimming and not cut hard back. Unless you find they are a type that can be, like Thuja.
PS. Nice garden
It may be worth cutting the dead bits off which will at least improve them to look at, and see if they die back any more.
You could maybe try a general purpose feed around the roots .
Thank you.
