Can I grow these corms in a pot approx 12" tall - 9 " wide and can they be grown successfully in compost from our heap in full sunshine?

    The pot should be fine, and full sun is advised, however your compost will probably be too strong to be used pure, as a planting medium.  Home made compost can burn the roots of plants, probably best to mix it up, either with some soil or compost from the garden centre.

    Yes I can do that KeenOnGreen, I have plenty of Jack Magic compost which could be used in the pot -  maybe two thirds that and 1 third home made - mixed together.  Thanks for the advice.
