I've got some bulbs in the garden which I forgot about but I need to move them. They are starting to shoot now, can they be moved into a pot now. They have been in current location for 2 ish years
You might be ok as long as you take most of the root ball out with the lilly. I have moved them at this time of the year before without any problems with the Lillies performance latter in early summer. Obviously, if they were in flower then definitely no but they are just showing growth so they are like most hardy perennial and can be moved imo I would prepare the area you want to plant them in so there is no delay in planting them in their new position. Apply a lot of grit in the soil mix as they require a very well drained soil
