We cleared an area of our garden and 3 of these plants appeared in the autumn and have continued to grow throughout the winter. Could someone help identify them? Many thanks.

have you done a scratch and sniff? that look like leeks to me

Yes, it looks like a leek going up to flowering.  That or some other Allium.
