Moving Pulsatilla

owd potterowd potter Posts: 884
Hiya all,
I read that they do not like to be moved, but I have some in spots which, no surprises, I'd like to relocate.
Can anyone advise best time to do and any tips to successfully move them?
Thanks,
Owd

I've never had a problem moving them. As long as they're well watered before and after moving, and you take care when lifting them, I can't see it being an issue.
I'd wait until they've flowered though - and even wait until the seedheads have finished. I almost like them better than the flowers  :)

I have also moved them, to be honest l didn't know that you weren't supposed to!
Like Fairygirl, l waited until after flowering then just kept an eye on the watering.

Guess I'll just give it a go then.

Against all gardening logic, I just moved one a few days ago, in flower, just watered, lifted, plonked and rewatered. Seems fine!
