Hiya I've got some borage and French lavender plants to plant. I know they like free draining and I've got a bucket full of coloured gravel  (the hideous luminous type you get for children's fishtanks) would this be suitable for using please many thanks

As long as it's clean and then mixed in with your compost, it will be fine. If you can stand to look at it! I would put a much of normal gravel at the top just to hide it!
