Onion Sets

My onion sets have started to sprout; is it still okay to plant them?

Yes as long as you can give them a little protection from frost fleece or cloche, here on the south coast mine are in, I use cloche for protection more to stop pigeons and black birds pulling them out before they root.

Ours were  planted out in South Wales from cell trays this last week, have had a frost without any damage.
