White flowers please!

Hi all planning an all white area on the patio, maybe a few very dark plants mixed in but mostly white and want any suggestions for white flowers that are scented in the evening. Got a few but wondered if anyone had any interesting ideas? Thanks in advance

Sorry no white scented just tulips, white geranium and wisteria Alba in mine. Would love more white as it gives such a pop of colour late in the day.

Osmanthus burkwoodii. Flowering here just now. Flowers are small, honey scented. Likes a bit of shade, so may be tricky if it's a sunnier site for sitting. Depends on your site.

    Nicotiana comes in white.
Sweet peas for summer - loads of whites to choose from. I've got Cathy, which I find highly scented and very floriferous, and is a creamy white, and Dorothy Eckford is very good. I have Wild Swan and Castle of Mey for this year too.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Some hostas have white scented flowers, Nicotiana, stocks, pinks, sweet rocket, lilies. I have a Star Jasmine in a pot in the terrace, its perfume wats indoors when the door is open.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I have a similar area of white flowers, mainly night scented, my faves are Hesparis (sweet rocket - which is a divine scent, although it does have a tendency to self seed and come out lilac rather than white, easy to pull out if you are fussy though), jasmine, honeysuckle, and probably the punchiest scent of all are lilies, but not everyone is a fan of their scent.
If you dont mind a bit of yellow creeping in on your white flowers then a mock orange is a good shrub. The flowers dont last all that long, but the scent fills my entire garden day and night when it is flowering
  • Zaluzianskya ovata is only small but has a phenomenal scent in the evening. What do you have already?

If you have space for nicotiana sylvestris the scent as the sun goes down is amazing.
Both neighbours comment on the scent when it's in flower

    Hi Debs
Phlox White Admiral with clusters of pure white flowers is desirably scented and grows about 3 foot (in old money). Like suns or part shade

Lily of the Valley - better in a pot perhaps, as a bit of a thug in the ground.
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone

White honesty fills that flower gap that you sometimes get after the spring bulbs but before most perennials get going.  It's biennial so if you let it seed around you'll get more the following year.  It's supposed to be scented but I can never smell anything from them.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
