Too late to chit?

I received my second early seed potatoes (Jazzy) only yesterday.  As its getting late in March, should i still chit them or just plant them?  Its my first time growing potatoes - as I understand it chitting is beneficial but not essential?  I'm not particularly fussed if the harvest is later than normal but I want to things the "correct" way as much as possible.

Thanks all!

If it were me I wouldn’t bother chitting and just plant them, perhaps others think differently.

I seem to remember trials showing that chitting helps with first earlies but is not essential for the later potatoes so just plant them with eyes facing upwards and make sure they are deep enough to keep light off the new tubers or are far enough apart to be earthed up to increase the yield and keep out the light.
