Roose roots

Hi, do i have to get all the roots of a rose out the ground. This root is going on for ever and it's not gong to pull out. Any ideas

    Are you hoping to replant the rose or are you digging it out to bin it?

  • Just to bin it's never flowered and it's really jaggy. Not sure what type of rose it is but it's sending shoots up all over and it's just a mess.

    I’d get as much out as you can but don’t break your back over it.  If you see any regrowth later just pull it out ... it’ll soon give up if it’s not allowed to grow any leaves.
