Viburnum disease?

I am new to gardening and wanted some advise from those with more knowledge and experience.

We have inherited a 10ft (what i believe to be) a viburnum.  It has not been looked after and been allowed to get out of hand. After giving it a prune (it was taking over the footpath) we have noticed the leaves and branches do not look too healthy.

Is this treatable? Any advice on what it is? I have googled it and not sure exactly if its leaf spot, viburnum beetle or canker?

Any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Looks like Viburnum beetle damage to me.

Me too.  I had similar to a large viburnum Tinus and it was flowering poorly.  I treated it last year and this year looks great.

viburnum beetle has a distinctive aroma when active (not pleasant) so that may confirm (but you’ll have to wait a couple of months for that).
