Hi @Nikitaloring, welcome to the forum  :). Don't know what the first one is, but the second looks like a type of bamboo.

The top photo looks like a Phormium Tenax.
  • I would agree with phormium for the first and bamboo for the second.
  • Hi.
    First post here also.

    Could someone identify this please?

I ask because recently, I've been standing in my garden and assuming someone in a nearby garden has been smoking cannabis. Yesterday I  realised it's this plant!

I bought and planted the bulb last summer, but didn't note the name.

ItsI just under 2ft tall in this pics.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Tommy

Looks like a Crown Imperial Fritillary to me. Didn't realise they smelt of dope!
  • Thanks DampGardenMan. Think you've nailed it.

    Well worth in the £3 I paid👃👃

I always think they smell of fox pee.

  • It’s one of those plants like marmite you either like it or not, I don’t find it offensive I quite like the smell.
it is supposed to be a mole deterant I quess because it’s the roots of the plant that gives off the smell.

I agree Lyn ... but smell can be quite subjective I suppose ...
