Something in a tub for a North facing front garden

I want to put a large shrub or tree in a pot between the down pipe and window.  It's North facing and gets very little direct sun.

Preferably with foliage all through the year - is there anything apart from a conifer?

    Thanks for these ideas.  I think it will be a winter flowering camellia.
