Phacelia

Has anyone grown the plant Phacelia just as a flower and not as a green manure.   I came across it some years ago and noticed how attractive it was to bees.  They love it.  
I have sowed it again this year.    The seedlings come through in a matter of days.

Yes, I had some in a mixed packet, red, white and blue; bees certainly love it.

Phacelia tanacetifolia is easy to grow, pretty and as you say, bees love it.

Loraine3..I have only ever seen it is that very pretty mauve colour.
Didn't know it came in red and white...cannot find anything on www about it.

I love this plant .
It looks great in gardens.

I have only seen it as mauve too !!!

Sorry not very clear; the phacelia was a bluey mauve, other seeds were the red and white. I think it was a free packet on a magazine for a Jubilee year.
