Hi, I'm looking for a bit of advice on this blossom tree (sorry don't know what it's name is) anyway I noticed today it's quite wobbly and then I noticed its sent out a new tree growth from the base. My question is, is it doing this as the main tree is damaged? Should I chop the main tree down and let the new tree grow in its place?

    the growth from the base is from the "rootstock". Your tree is probably grafted . Remove all the new growth at the base and leave the top bit alone.
