Stored dahlia tubers mouldy

Should I chuck them? They were wrapped in newspaper and kept in shed over winter. Some are mouldy round the crown....😞

I’ve chucked mine I’ve chucked mine.  But I suspect if their still hard, a wash and they might still be viable.

If the tubers are soft and rotten, throw them away, but a bit of mould around the stems is ok. Sometimes one section rots and can be cut out with a sharp knife. Look carefully for growing points at the base of old stems. If they are ok your dahlias will be fine.
