Is this common in sunflowers?

Hello,
This year I had sunflowers in my garden for the first time. I have three plants and on a single stem there are multiple buds. Before planting them, while I read articles and tips about them online, I never saw pictures of sunflowers like these.
I am attaching pictures here.
Is this common?

The single headed sunflowers have been bred over years to be the sunflowers we know now. If you save seed from your own sunflowers you're more likely to see multi headed as the become hybrids

I thought it wasn't common, but now I know. Thank you so much everyone. :)
