Sarecenia

i do hope one of you knowledgable members can help me,
i have to repot my sarecenias and looking on google it says to pot in moss peat !! 
cant get any and don’t really want to be using peat is there a alternative I could use?

    Hi Chrissy. I have used orchid compost and it works fine. I think the key if using ordinary compost is to use it sparingly and mix in loads of grit and bark for example. They are pretty robust in my experience and also over winter well in my greenhouse (east of Scotland).

    fine graded bark is perfect for Sarracenia's, mix in some milled sphagnum moss to give a little water retention.
    you want a 70% bark - 30% moss mix
