Advice for house plant pests

I have an indoor Hibiscus plant, it had minute brown dots on the leaves that cane off if I rubbed them off, that looked like they were sucking the juices out of the leaves, I soaked it under water as advised for 1 hour and these things went away. Now the leaves are growing back but they have clear spots on them like something is sucking the leaves again, I can’t see any insects or minute bugs etc, has anyone got any ideas what is causing this and what I can do to get rid of the problem, should I soak it again? A photo of the leaves will follow. Thank you.

It may be that the white spots are tiny spots of dead leaf where the sucking insects pierced the leaves. The spots may well turn brown and leave a little hole, but they won't affect the plant.
If you can't see any bugs at present and you're not sure what they were, then probably best to leave alone but keep an eye out just in case the beasties return.
