    Hi purpleallium,
    Seeing it in this picture, it's bigger than I was visually expecting. Also,  you seem very adept at keeping it under control, so mine will probably be even bigger. I now know what sort of space I need to find for it - gulp! :-)

    the pear could be grown as a cordon the same as your apples,
    the plum needs to be grown as fan, they don't like the branches at more than 45 degrees from the trunk, or a free standing tree
