Moving seedlings - compost

When seedlings have reached a size where they are ready to be transplanted in to individual small pots or trays with more spacing between them (they've got a few proper leaves), is it ok to use multipurpose compost to fill the container, or should I still be using "seed and cutting" compost for that stage?

Thanks in advance

I use multipurpose unless it is a particularly sensitive or costly plant.
