PKs plant ID page

I have started this page so I can keep all the plants you beautiful people ID for me in one place and don't have to start a new discussion each time  :)

And to start I found these two in the garden at the weekend beautiful scent but have no idea!

    The first one is Viburnum bodnantense, probably 'Dawn'.
    The second is a Mahonia,  but I'd have to look further to know which one.

    The second one looks like Mahonia japonica.

    I'm not sure it is Viburnum as Viburnum flowers have 5 petals and I can only make out 4 on that plant. I think it might be a Daphne - possibly odora.

    Not to worry LG_  I cannot count how many times a weed has been cherished in my garden until it flowers - or worse still spreads itself everywhere I don't want it to go

    Was going to post a pic for ID from daughters garden but I am now pretty certain it’s a mahonia. She isn’t keen but it’s a big garden and there were bees on it yesterday so I will try to persuade her to keep it!

    I think the first one is a daphne. A pic showing the whole plant and the size would help.

    First one is possibly Daphne bholua?

    If it is D. bholua, and it looks from the pic to be a decent size, I would say it suggests there might be all sorts of other treasures to come :)
    Most of us can't even afford a baby one :(

    I did take one of the bush but thought was better to have flower I will remember in future and post one of each.
