Hello, does anyone recognise this plant that's growing in my mum's garden please? We're wondering if it's a weed or not

Be careful of the white sap..it is toxic.

Yes, if you handle it, wear gloves and don't get the sap in your eyes, it can cause real irritation. A bit of googling will give you more information.
