  •  I once had one that was the size of a couple of tennis courts but that seemed small compared to another place I lived which was 9 acres.
    I'm sure I read a book about Gertrude Jekyll where she was quoted as saying she wanted to plant a wood adjacent to her garden, but she only had ten acres available so, really, what could one do :smile:

    My neighbour has the perfect answer, when he moved into his house over thirty years ago, he had a tiny garden, never enough room for all the goodies he wanted to plant,  now he has a ginormous garden he cannot manage!

    He is well into his eighties, so he has an excuse!

    Best veg for growing in pots apart from lettuce and tomatoes, covering both full sun and shady options and winter options too!
