Can anyone recommend (or comment) about membership to Gardenadvice.co.uk service?

The Gardenadvice.co.uk website seems to offer a really good service to its paid up members (£146 pa). It almost seems to good to be true, and I can’t find any comments on its site or reviews about it. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of this company?

  • I can’t see the point in paying £146pa for something most of which you can get for free on this site

I found a one star review on Google but wouldn't find it necessary to pay for anything if you can get it for free from this excellent forum. I think if I wanted to pay for anything I would look at joining the RHS.

I agree, haven't looked at the site to be fair, but if it is offering advice that you can get on here (and elsewhere on the internet) for free, l would save the money for buying plants  :)
  • I must confess I have only just found this website, so maybe I should explore it more before I commit.

It sounds like a lot of money to me.

Gardeners World online has loads of help for gardeners ... apart from this forum there are ‘How to’ videos and lots of other information ... no point in paying for it

3 times the price of membership of the RHS which gets you free access to all their experts and a monthly magazine and entry to their gardens and partner gardens.

Anything else you need to know can be found among the people here, so varied are their experiences, origins and styles of garden.

  • Thanks everyone ..Good advice. I am an RHS member, I just didn’t realise I had access to anything other than the gardens! I’ll do more research.

The RHS has a huge website full of plants and how to care for them from hot to grow, prune, propagate and potential problems.  As a member you can contact the experts directly with questions about anything horticultural.

There is info about all sorts, including these services in the magazine and, if they have your email address, you should be getting a monthly newsletter too.
