Is this rose a goner?

This is a patio rose that wasn't doing at all well in a pot. I transplanted her into another pot last spring; recovered a bit, but still didn't seem well. I thought to try her in the ground so I put her in at the end of last summer.  The stem where I pruned the tip off went all brown. I know maybe I should give her a chance, but she has just that one stem and a tiny thin one on the side.

I don't think that's worth saving Elizarose, I would just chuck it and get a better one.

Unless it has any great sentimental value, I'd lose it.
    Devon.
  • Thanks all. I think I will give one last chance :); I'll try what you say Philippa. If it doesn't improve by the end of the summer, I'll say good bye. I do like this rose - the blooms are white with a cream centre.
