Gladiolus Advise Please

Hi,
I wonder if someone could advice me please :)
I have gladiolus in a very large container outdoors. They have all died back turned brown, except one which has mixed yellow-green leaves. Any ideas as to what may be wrong with it? I have attached photo's
Thanks

Nothing’s wrong. That’s what happens to them
in the winter. They may come off if you give them a gentle tug, or you can cut them off just above soil level to tidy the pot up.
With any luck they’ll grow again in the summer.
I’d give them some tomato fertiliser when they grow new leaves.
    Good luck  :)

I've never grown them but I don't think they're extra hardy. You might need to offer some protection

I would cut the tops off , an inch above the soil, and put the whole lot into a shed or garage to dry off in the tub. That will protect the corms from freezing, which will turn them to mush.
  • Huge Thanks to you all
I was worried they had some sort of problem going on. These are beautiful, they belonged to my uncle and they were magnificent every year so doing my very best to take care of them :) I'm a little concerned about the odd one out as it's still got green-yellow leaves?

I think it is the weird weather we had last year. Some of mine still have green leaves on. I grow them in lines in the veg patch for cutting for cut flowers. Normally they die down well before this.
