Moveable climber

I would like to start growing something that climbs up the front of our house. Ideally something fast growing as it is quite ugly and i think this will make a huge difference.

However, we would like to paint our house in the future and also we need to make the ground levels lower to prevent rising damp.

Is there anything that i can plant now that we can move around in the future? Ideally in the ground rather than a pot so it needs less water.

We love wisteria, but the branches look thick so i assume they would break if moved once established. It may take us a few years to do our works.

Thanks!

In my previous three storey house there a Rosa Banksia Lutea which would climb to the top if you let it!  Can be cut to ground level for redecorating and will recover same year. Bit of a thug but so pretty.

There is also a Rosa Banksia on the side of Killerton House (NT) which was cut to the ground last year and covered in scaffolding for major works, now recovering well.
  • Thanks very much. Will give it s try!

We took our wisteria off (very gently) and laid it on the ground when we had the house repointed a couple of years ago. The wisteria was about 5 years old. Survived, and is now thriving again...
