Problem solving
I planted a Prunus Amanagowa about 3 years ago and it now has a long branch growing from out of the main trunk at ground level. Should I cut it off? Thanks for any advice.

If it is at ground level it is probably coming from the wild cherry usually used as rootstock. Cut or tear it off as low as you can.

I agree, but it may be best to wait until a bit later in the year as Prunus can be infected with silverleaf if pruned this time of year
