Anemones still flowering

I thought these were summer flowering but they’re still going at the end of December...is that normal (here in Kent)?

They all look out of place given everything else is dead, so a I might bring them altogether in the front garden.

I think they’re anemones.

  • It looks as though your plant thinks it's Spring. Anemone coronaria is a perennial which usually flowers late Spring time. Enjoy it while you can, but it may not flower when it should next year. The Seasons have been well and truly muddled this year I think.

    Nmm, that’s what I thought - thanks.

A bit of colour will be welcome in the front.  I’ll bring them together there.

Mine are also still producing the odd flower, they did the same last year too. I seem to get two main flowering periods and then just the odd ones after that. Great value plants for the garden

    Thread resurrection:

Mine are still going, haven’t stopped since last summer.  I’m in Kent and have them in raised beds, my plan was always to move them to the front garden which gets afternoon sun.  I could create a raised bed for them.

Is this likely to affect their flowering?

Everything seems to have gone crazy. Mine are in bud and others in full bloom also my Narine's only finished blooming about three or four weeks ago but they are in a very shelter spot in the garden.
