Collectors Snowdrops - depth of pot?

janebaljanebal Posts: 130
I have just got a few collectors' snowdrops - Grumpy, Diggory, Rosemary Burnham - but I am not sure if my pots are deep enough. They are 15 cm deep. Will this be all right?
(I don't have ground to grow them in.)

  • All mine are in the ground now, but I used to grow some in alpine pans which are about that size and they seemed happy.

Thank you Dove - that is what they are - sort of Alpine pans but glazed. Could you tell me how often you would split them. Do you wait for 3 years or more?
  • I would wait until there’s a decent sized clump ... probably several years depending on how they do  :)
