    I'm with @punkdoc, it's just a way to fleece lots of money from gullible consumers. ( water absorbing crystals??? anyone remember them before they were totally debunked? )
    Unless your soil has come from the bottom of a mine it's like to have plenty of MF all of its own.

    If you could see the soil the builders left me with, you'd thnk that's exactly where it had come from !

    @Nollie .. yes those boxes, they are rather large too, I would struggle to accommodate them..  and like you say, so easy to  make your own... unfortunately if you live in a warm climate with low rainfall, they take a very long time to rot down... not so much a problem for us here...

    Agree jeyes could be bad for living crawlies. I may go down the route of buying soil and adding organic matter. Unfortunately can’t find a place to move soil without damaging other plants.
