Our plants leaves have got beautiful yellow markings on them and having looked at hundreds of pictures online I cannot see any like it at all, is this normal? Or is my plant diseased in some way?

The Autumn colours of leaves this year has been spectacular.
Red,green,yellow all on a shrub/tree at the same time.
We were discussing this at the latest meeting of my Bonsai Society and how varied everything is and in different stages at the same time.My cherry tree has only started losing its leaves this week but the Amelanchier has been bare for a month!
Wind (gales or nothing),rain (too much or lack of) temperature (frost one day and double digits the next) are all contributing to all this.
I think your Cotinus is perfectly OK so enjoy the show while you can!
