Salvia Question .

Terry29Terry29 Posts: 58
Good morning to you all .
I would just like to ask a quick question about what to do with my Salvia Amistad .

It is in a pot at the moment and I would like to over winter it in my small 4 tiered greenhouse . Will it be ok to cut the Salvia back and if it is how much should I cut it back by .

Many thanks for all advice given .

I leave the foliage on over Winter, then cut back to the ground in Spring.

I have one too. I will have to cut some of mine off to fit it in the blow away. It is a bit late but I would also try some cuttings if you can.
I did some last month. Some in a pot, and some in a jar of water. They grew roots quite quickly in the water, I was chuffed to bits as an experiment. I potted them up a week ago.

I also wrapped the pot up in an old towel when it was freezing, if you have fleece it would probably be good.
