Anyone know what this is?

Do any of you clever folk know what this is? Pops up all over the place. I like it and it’s easy to get rid of if it appears where I don’t want it.

Thanks, with that clue I did some googling and I think I’ve identified it at as cyperus eragrostis (common name among others tall flatsedge). People are always asking me what it is as it’s quite striking, now I can tell them!
