Chinese virginia creeper
I have a west facing fence that I'd like to cover and I was thinking of maybe a chinese virginia creeper. The fence is about 5m wide x 1.8 m high. Is this space still just too small for a virginia creeper, even the chinese version? Don't mind pruning it regularly along the top of the fence to keep it out of my neighbour's garden. But would like to be able to go on holiday occasionally without it taking over Yorkshire. Any tips? Any other creeper which would work on this fence - I don't particularly want to have to put trellis up so something self clinging woudl be great.

If it belongs to next door they will not be very pleased having a rampant Parthenocissus henryana growing up it.

5m x 1,8m is a huge area.
It is a super climber.
P. henryana i for us at least, much better behaved.
