Mystery Leaf Destruction

Morning All,
I hope someone could help me identify a mystery pest. It keeps removing leafs from my wall flowers, the leaf is being snapped off and left by the plant so not even eaten. I have attached pictures.

    I can't imagine it's any kind of insect. That seems a lot of work for no reward.  Are you sure the plant is healthy and the leaves aren't just falling off?

    Looks like slug damage. There are millions of them around now the weather has turned damp again. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Ok thanks, I will try some repellents. I just don’t understand why they are leaving the leaves. Let’s hope this cures it

    I think sometimes they get snapped off by the weight of the slugs as they climb to the newest growth which is the succulent tips? See yours are nibbled off.
    The leaves are quite brittle so get snapped easily, even a relatively small slug or snail can break them. Good Luck hope you can save them.
