Hello, does anybody know what this is? Found about 5 in a week- indoors. TIA

    Looks like a carpet beetle larvae to me. How big were they?

  • Thanks for your replies, it was about 4mm and this is gonna sound ridiculous but can you get these even if you don't have any carpet/fabric in the room?

    The name is a bit misleading. They eat natural fibres like fur and wool, basically anything organic in dark places around the house. They do some damage though so get rid of them if you can and keep them away from your taxidermy animal collection.

    They can feed on fluff and hair between floorboards and in cracks and crevices ... they can also remain dormant for some time and then hatch when conditions are right.

    Have you just moved to a new place or have you been there a while?
