Is it possible to mix wood dust with compost, can it be used as a mulch straight away?

    I'd add to to the fresh compost bin and layer it with grass clippings

    as long as its not from treated wood it will be fine, high in carbon, ow in nitrogen good mixed in with grass clippings.

    As mentioned above great mixed in compost heap I would not put straight on as mulch won't do any harm but it tends to stick together and looks untidy.
