Chafer grubs in lawn. Can I treat lawn and create flowerbed ?

Hi.I do not need to enclose a photo of my lawn as I'm sure most know what it looks like !
Once treated with nematodes how soon can I create a flower bed in the resulting bare earth and seed the rest to lawn.

This information is on the nematodes direct site
    https://www.nematodesdirect.co.uk/blog/2_chafer-grubs-their-lifecycle-and-when-to-treat-them-with-nematodes.html

If you look at the end of the chart it says two weeks after treatment.

The information did seem a little buried in the blog section rather than easy to find on the relevant (buying) page. The do also have a free phone number if anyone needs more help.
  • Hi Rubytoo...that is kind.I ordered but haven't received the Nemasys Nematode Chafer stuff yet. This problem is at my neighbours either side and probably further too...a 'good' year for chafer beetles...perhaps the hot summer ?!

It is possibly a "good " year as you put it. Sorry you have the problem, I have been gardening for a good few years and not come across them. Sounds impossible or like I go around with my eyes shut. But had to actually look up the rather handsome beetle with amazing antennae as I was not sure what it was.
Though for most of our time here we have had mass starlings and lots of bird life so perhaps the grubs get eaten so we don't get them.

    Good Luck.
  • This is only a small part of what is to be lifted...they are even under the lovely clover !
The birds lifted lumps then we had to rake and bin.

Commiserations, you have a very nice garden, and such a big lawn to be spoiled, it would make me feel very disheartened, but also I guess that is gardening for us, a bit challenging at times! Sure you could do without this particular one though.
Good Luck I hope the nematodes work.
