Phormium problem?

OH has dramatically coloured phormium which has suffered in this year's weather. The new central leaves are plain green - I will TRY to load photo. Will they colour up or should they be cut out?

    They need dividing Posy. The variegated ones get like that over time, and need rejuvenating every so often. Some are worse than others too. A bit like Irises - you  keep the newer bits and discard the old stuff. They grow on quite quickly though.
    It's a bit of a faff to be honest - I'm lazy about doing it, so I have a few Yellow Wave which are more Green Wave now  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
