Dog Tooth Violet Bulbs
I have been given a gift of Dog Tooth Violet bulbs. They have no instructions as to planting. Which end is "UP" they seem to have a pointy end and a flat end. Also should I plant them now and where is best ??????

In UK Dog tooth violet that usually means Erythronium dens canis..the bulbs are very small.
Gorgeous woodland plants.
All bulbs will correct themselves which ever way they are planted.
I would plant vertically...pointy end up...4" deep.
Quote Avon bulbs......
"Erythronium dens canis
should be planted in a
, humus rich, well-drained
, 3-4" (8-10cm) apart and will benefit from dappled
and a drier rest in deeper
Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
And plant them quickly. They don't like drying out!!
