Hi I have a very large cabbage tree 5 trunks have been removed and these now have new shoots coming off them how can I stop new shoots without damaging the tree

they should "snap" off easily when they first appear, causing no damage.
I assume you're talking about Cordyline Australis?

Yeah sorry, so just keep snapping off new shoots and that will stop it?
