Can anyone identify this? It is about 30-40cms high, has thick surface runners and is growing in a spoil heap between ancient farmland and a new building project now under construction, also on ancient farmland in Dorset.

In its double form too. I find it very thuggish. Spreads everywhere.

It sneaks here under the fence from next door ...

Sadly, it's not, apparently, thuggish enough to prevent building on ancient farmland.

Thanks everyone. It had me stumped cos of being the double form (which is apparently less thugish).

It’s the double form that we have here ... it spreads but is fairly easily pull up able when it outgrows its welcome.
